1. Anything that invalidates Ablution also invalidates wiping on foot gear.
  2. The Purity attained by wiping thick socks is invalidated by taking off a sock.
    • even if one khuff is removed. and if one is removed both will need to be removed to wash both feet again.
  3. If major part of a foot comes out to the shank portion of the foot gear, the wiping is invalidated.
  4. Wiping is invalidated at the completion of the period of permissibly (24 or 72 hours).
  5. Wiping is invalidated if water reaches major part of either of the two feet inside foot gear.
    • for example if one steps into a puddle and both feet are wet then one must wash both feet.

Final points

  • Wiping turban, cap or veil instead of wiping the head during Ablution is not permissible.
  • Similarly, wiping the gloves instead of washing the hands during Ablution is not permissible
